			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal" style="text-align: justify"><span style="font-size: 11pt">Welcome to the fall semester!<span>  </span>We in the Ronald Williams Library have been busy over the summer on a number of initiatives highlighted in this issue.<span>  </span>We have added several new electronic resources, received grants to strengthen our print collections, and have been engaged extensively with the campus in planning for NEIU<em>port</em>, a new internet portal to be launched in January of 2007.<span>  </span></span><span id="more-50"></span><span style="font-size: 11pt">On the facilities front, remodeling of the fourth floor of the Ronald Williams Library is now nearly complete.<span>  </span>Over the next few weeks, we will celebrate the opening of the new Language Learning Lab and welcome back the Learning  Center, Math Lab and Reading Lab into a redesigned Learning Commons.<span>  </span>Beyond books, bytes and buildings, Library faculty and staff remain our most critical resource.<span>  </span>Here we have added new staff, reorganized some service areas and volunteered our time and talents.<span>  </span>An updated list of Library faculty assignments as subject specialists is included as a reminder that these individuals are a primary point of contact whatever your information resource, library instruction or research needs.<span>  </span>We are here to help.<span>  </span>What can we do for you?</span></p>
