In the month leading up to each author event, the book being discussed will be available for 2 day loans. The other two will be available for 1 week loans throughout the semester. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>As part of the Student Activities Office’s events to raise awareness related to hunger and homelessness in our community, the Library will be waiving fines on Monday, November 14<span style="font-size: small;"><span>th </span></span>through Friday, November 18<span style="font-size: small;"><span>th </span></span>in exchange for a food donation that will go to the Greater Chicago Food Depository.</p>

<p>A donation of three food items (can goods and dry good items only please) will equal $5 waived off your fines.  Additional donations will be credited as follows:</p>

3 food items                                      $5 in fines<br />
6 food items                                      $10 in fines<br />
12 food items                                    $10 in fines<br />
15 food items                                    $25 in fines<br />
18 food items                                    $30 in fines</p>
<p>Please note:</p>
<ul>
<li>Food items must be canned goods or dry goods with a future expiration date.  Perishable items will not be accepted.</li>
<li>Food donations can only be applied to outstanding fines and cannot be applied to lost item fees.</li>
<li>You may donate to completely waive all your fines or donate a portion of your fines owed.</li>
<li>Food donations will be accepted at the Circulation Desk of the Library and at the CCICS Library.</li>
</ul>
